Information
In this section you will find information that has been categorised into specific stages of life for a person with Down's syndrome.
If you cannot find the information you are looking for you can search our website by using the search box in the top right of this page, or please contact our National Office and speak to one of our information officers or specialist advisers.
Are you pregnant, have you just given birth?
Documentary film-makers would like to speak to pregnant women who have recently had a positive diagnosis of Down's syndrome for their baby to be.
They are also interested to speak to mothers who have just given birth to a baby with Down's syndrome.
The film-makers are in the process of developing a sensitive documentary film about the current pre-natal screening programme and the decision making process families go through once the diagnosis of Down's syndrome has been given.
If you are pregnant, or have just given birth to a baby with Down's syndrome and feel strong and comfortable enough to talk openly about your experience, we would like to hear about your personal story.
Any information given will be treated in strict confidence.
Please contact John Smithies at the Down's Syndrome Association on 0845 230 0372 or email
