A celebrity charity football match has raised £2,300, which will be split between the Down's Syndrome Association and another charity.

The match was organised in memory of a young man who died after falling from a roof at work.

Daniel Hollington from Essex was 21 when he died on October 30th last year.

The match, which took place on Sunday November 2nd, featured an Arsenal celebrity XI and a Dan Hollington XI made up of Daniel's friends.

The Arsenal team featured celebrities like Casualty actor Patrick Robinson, Groundforce gardener Tommy Walsh, Surrey and England cricket star Mark Ramprakash and former world champion boxer Terry Marsh.

The match ended 7-3 to Arsenal.

One of the organisers, Liam Dennis, 23, told the Basildon Echo: "It was a brilliant day. We'd like to thank everyone who came to support it and Dan's family and friends."

The money raised will be shared between the DSA and a charity of Arsenal's choice.
