Recycling
Recycling your mobile phone is a small way to make a big impact for the Down's Syndrome Association. When you or your family, friends or even colleagues upgrade your mobile phones, donate your old phones to the DSA! It's quick and easy and costs nothing to you.
Just call the DSA and ask for a mobile phone recycling bag, which will be mailed to you and then you can mail the bag with your phone free of charge to the collection point. It's that easy.
If you are interested in setting up a mobile phone recycling point in your office to benefit the DSA, we can send you a poster and a collection box that will be picked up when full.
Vinay explains just how quick and easy it is...
Vinay Kapoor has been working with the Down's Syndrome Association for more than 15 years in our fundraising department. Here in his own words he explains why Mobile Phone Recycling will help the Down's Syndrome Association.
- Putting your old phone in the recycling bag and posting it gives the DSA £4.
- I have labelled 12,000 bags Freepost, so it is free for you to post your phones to us.
- Please give us your donation of mobiles, which helps us to raise money and help people with Down's syndrome.
The DSA has been helping people with Down's syndrome live fulfilling lives of their own choosing for 38 years. We are a national charity who aims to provide information and support for people with Down's syndrome, their families and carers and to improve knowledge about the condition amongst the general public, government agencies, and interested professionals. We also campaign for social equality in areas such as education, medicine and welfare rights.
For recycling bags or for more information, please call Vinay Kapoor or Patricia James on 0845 230 0372.
